Consignment items may be dropped off during our regular open hours which are 10-5:30 M-F and 12-5 Saturday. Hours may be subject to change.
Please let us know if you want anything back which we do not keep. Otherwise items will be donated as we see fit to CAV, Shelterfor the Homeless, The Living Center, Free Box.
Terms are a 50-50% split of the selling price or 60% to you as in-store credit. In store credit may be used any time when you have close to sufficient credit to cover the purchases.
Payment is made on a monthly basis. Payment can be picked up on or after the 10th of the month for the prior months sales. If you are moving out of state or out of the area checks for over $20.00 will be mailed once a month for the prior months sales ata charge of $1 to cover postage and handling.
Items must be in clean and good condition. Please remove pet hairs, smoky smells, dirt, dust, stains etc before bringing items in. Make sure that small appliances work and that they are clean. Dishes and kitchenware must be cleaned and functioning. Please see Consignment guidelines for further details.
It is helpful if items come in a bag or box which is marked with your name or account code. Please label any individual items which do not fit in a box with your name or initials. Be careful when you put a label or tape on to not damage the item. Ask us for assistance if you are not sure. If you need a list of your items immediately please write it up yourself. Otherwise we will have an inventory list available on file after we go through your items.
We price all items according to what we feel sells them and consistent with other items in the store. If you have specific price ideas for your items please feel free to write a list specifying what you need to receive. We will work with those priceguidelines but we can not guarantee a certain amount. The longer items are in the store the more negotiable we will be. Clothing is color coded and is out at the original price for 1.5-2 months, then 25% off for one month, then 50% off for one month and then donated if unsold and not picked up by the consignor. There are times when we will pull unsold clothing early if it is found to be stained, damaged or out of season.
While we are as careful as possible, Pieces is not responsible for theft, loss or damage to items left in the store.

- CONSIGNOR may choose to receive 50% of the retail sales paid by check or 60% of the retail sales as in-store credit or a combination of both. Checks are paid on or after the 10th of a month for the prior month’s sales. Store credit may be used whenever you have enough to cover your purchases. Checks must be picked up from the store unless you have moved away from the area and set up a mailing account. Checks are not mailed out until there is at least $30.00 credit. A $1.00 fee is charged for mailing checks in the US. If you have an item on layaway, any credits will be applied to the layaway before you receive a check payment. Credits not used or claimed will be forfeited after one year.
- Clothing left on consignment is on the racks a maximum of four months. Unsold items will be pulled and donated when their color tag system has expired or at season change. If you want any clothing items back they must be picked up prior to the pull date. While we can assist, you are responsible for finding your clothing items. Any clothing which is found to be ripped, stained or otherwise damaged may be donated immediately.
- Furniture and household items left on consignment may be reduced in price at our discretion in order to sell them. We can make no guarantees as to selling price. Smaller items which have been in the store longer than four months may be donated or disposed of at our discretion. It is your responsibility to pick up any unsold items.
- Please allow time for us to look at your consignment items so we may return any unwanted items to you. Unwanted items left at the store for longer than 24 hours will be donated and a charge of $5.00 will be put on your account for us to dispose of them. Please clean or repair all items before bringing them in or a charge may be made on your account for work we do.
- It is our expectation that items brought in for consignment will remain in the store for three to four months. Please make sure that you want to sell them before bringing them in.
- Pieces makes every effort to maintain records and prevent loss or damage. However, Pieces is not liable for any loss whatsoever due to theft, loss or damage.
